Mezza Norte ♥
I just found my new favorite hang-out place! :) For two consecutive Fridays, I have been eating out at Techno Hub! Last week I was with my Miriam friends while last night my colleagues and I had dinner and a few drinks there to celebrate friendship and pay day! :) So far, I have tried their Hungarian sausage meal, bibingka, baby back ribs, mini tacos, lasagna, and beef stew sandwich. I am certainly going back and try the rest of the food there - like isaw, cakes, pastries, paella, stuffed pizza, crepe, etc! I highly suggest that you guys visit the place. It’s open from Thursday to Saturday, 6 pm - 3 am. I looooooove their yummy food and relaxing ambience there! :)
Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee’s Red Cranberry Iced Tea & Bacon Sandwich ♥
Too sad I wasn’t able to try their luscious cakes!!! :( Val and I tried Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee for the very first time last week. I hate it because I was experiencing sore throat and cough then that’s why I wasn’t able to have a taste of any of their cakes nor their coffee. Well, according to Val it’s “the best cheesecake” she ever tasted! I really felt envious and deprived then! Really! Because of that, I would certainly go back as soon as I am 100% well already and eat as much cake as I can! Nonetheless, I must say their iced tea and bacon sandwich taste good! It made me happy that night! :)
Chef Bistro’s Mushroom and Truffle Pizza ♥
MEMORABLE!
It was another night spent with my crazy colleagues! We ate, we shared stories, we took photos, we cried a little, we asked questions with one another, we stayed until the wee hours, and yes we all had a good time! :) I beg not to share the details that happened that night. Please bear with me, I myself do not know what exactly happened and how it did happen! Haha! All I can remember is that, it all came unexpected yet it was good! Ironically, there was no sad good bye for Mawhi. Sure we will all miss her but she will always remain in our hearts.
We will always love her! THANK YOU MAWHI FOR THE PIZZA TREAT AND FOR MAKING US ALL HAPPY!!! :)
Bingbong’s Cream Puffs ♥
Here’s a lovely treat after my first boxing session! :)
Oh goooosh! These cream puffs without any exaggeration taste so good that the body pain brought by boxing made it all worth it! For the very first time, I tried boxing with Mawhi with her friend Bon! It was fun learning how to do jab, straight, and hook stunts! After the 12 rounds of training, I felt like I am as good as the champ Manny Pacquiao already! Haha! Oh! I didn’t expect that boxing was that fun!!! I’d probably do more sessions in the following weeks! By the way, Bon gave me this awesome pasalubong from Bacolod! Thanks for this and for introducing boxing to me and Mawhi! :)
Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak’s Beef Pepper Rice, Pork BBQ Pepper Rice abd Gyuniku Beef Pepper Rice ♥
My love for old friends sizzles like Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak! :)
I am blogging again after quite sometime and I admit, that intro was too mushy but damn it’s so true! I thank the president for declaring those long weekends last August because it gave me, Honey, and Rob a chance to see each other. We have been busy with different things such as work lately. As usual, we had an unending exchange of stories, giving of unsolicited advice and lots of eating. We celebrated Honey’s birthday by eating whatever she wishes! We had Jolly hotdog and spaghetti from Jollibee, then awesome dinner at Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak, doughnut from Cellos, and milk tea from Gong Cha all at the same night. It’s always fun being with the two! I truly thank heavens for the gift of friendship. They both always make me feel loved. I really look forward seeing them more often.
Mooon Cafe ♥
At a certain point of our childhood, we all wanted to be Neil Armstrong. We all wanted to be an astronaut and go to the moon!
I was personally sad upon learning yesterday over Twitter that Mr. Armstrong passed away. He’s a man who truly inspired everyone to continue dreaming and do whatever it takes even going as far as the moon to get it! Jerome, my colleague mentioned that he aspired to be an astronaut and hoped that seriously pursued it. Good thing it didn’t happen because we wouldn’t have an awesome art director then.
Well some dreams happen, some don’t! If it doesn’t maybe God has a better plan. We shouldn’t stop dreaming because all great things start with a simple dream.
Rest in peace Sir Neil Armstrong! Thank you for inspiring us to dream! :)
French Baker’s Apple Cranberry Juice ♥
There are some things in life that no matter how hard we look for an answer, we are left with nothing. Just like this serving of apple cranberry juice! I still don’t get why it has 2 straws. The only logical reason I can think of is that I’ll be able to drink faster, but who told them I am in a hurry?
The consecutive two long weekends gave me an ample time to think and evaluate how my life has been going on. Well I came to realize that I am one lucky girl - I have a complete family, awesome friends, & budding career. In addition to that, I get to do the things that I want, eat as much as I can, and express whatever I feel. Basically, I don’t have issues with life and I am thankful for that! However there are still questions that run in my head like have I been too safe zone - not wanting to feel any pain or experience failure? Am I maximizing my talents? Am I just wasting my time, money, and effort on things and people that I don’t really need? Do people really care about me? Am I being too nice and gets abused unconsciously? Am I indeed insensitive?
All these awakened me to explore the other side of life. I should start valuing things that are essential and people who genuinely care. From now on, I should be brave enough to take risks but at the same time I should be constantly guarding my heart. It’s time to give people a chance to prove their worth! It’s time to get out of the routine.
If there’s one important thing I’ve realized, that is WHEN IN DOUBT, JUST ASK! We should directly ask others and even ask ourselves. We may not get the answers that we want but at least we clear things out. :)
Burger Project’s Western Bacon Melt w/ Pino Brewed Iced Tea ♥
I got stranded not only once or twice but thrice on the second week of August because of typhoon Gener and habagat!
What’s better thing to do when stranded than to EAT? Haha! While we were waiting for the flood to subside at Philcoa, my colleagues and I stayed at one of the burger houses in Maginhawa. Mike was so right! Burger Project got the most luscious burgers in the metro! I honestly had a terrible time ordering. Well actually customers can create their own burgers and have it named. Since I was so hungry and my mind wasn’t functioning anymore I just opted to order the burger that sounds appetizing. Western Bacon Melt Beef Burger consisted of sauteed mushrooms, bacon, cheddar cheese, barbeque sauce, fresh tomatoes, and onion rings.
I truly enjoyed eating my burger under the rain with Mike and Mawhi around! It was officially my first bonding gig with the newest copywriters! They’re awesome! I didn’t expect talking about love life with them! Haha! :)
Bibingkinitan Cheese Max ♥
During these cold rainy days, there’s one thing I really like to have - hot cheesy bibingka!!!
I fell in love the very first time I got to taste it! Without any exaggeration it tastes really good, very Pinoy! Speaking of first, I am going back to my first love - food blogging! My close friends know that I don’t really blog about the taste of food but the story behind the food.

J. Co. Donuts & Coffee ♥
People get loco with J. Co.!!!
Oh gosh! Despite continuous rain and strong wind brought by typhoon Gener last Saturday, people still rush to MOA just to have a taste of the much talked about among family, friends, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, J. Co. donuts!!!
Luckily, I was able to convince my ever supportive friend Denis to accompany me to MOA. Did I mention that he barely got sleep during that time and he lives in Valenzuela? Haha!
J. Co.’s soft textured donuts and exciting drinks were certainly good rewards after a long travel and intense emotion brought by the suspense-horror movie that we watched. We tried Blue Berrymore, Tiramisu, Don Mochino, Avocado Dicarpio, Why Nut, and their famous Alcapone donut! Some of the names maybe funny but all of the donuts really taste good! Their cappuccino avocado and mix berry frappe were indeed refreshing!
As J. Co. would say it, “pamper your tastebuds!” Go and get yourself a J. Co donut and coffee! Don’t let the rain stop you! :)
